Where is TISS located?

The Mumbai Campus of the TISS is located opposite the Deonar Bus Depot on V.N. Purav Marg (earlier known as the Sion-Trombay Road). Another nearby landmark is R.K. Studios. Further details in ‘Contact Us’.

What are the working hours of TISS?

The administrative office timings are from 10.00 a.m. to 5.45 p.m., Monday to Friday. The Cash Counter is open from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm and from 1.45 pm to 3.00 pm on weekdays and from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm on Saturdays.

Where can I find more information about the history of TISS?

Where can I look for employment opportunities in TISS?

Please look under ‘Work with Us’ on the TISS Homepage. Advertisements are also placed in major newspapers and notices re put up in the relevant notice boards on the Campus.

I am not a member of the TISS Library. Can I still access the specialised collection of the TISS Library?

A non-member can access the specialised collection of the TISS Library provided he/she gets a letter of introduction from their concerned organisation, an Identity Card. The usage charges are Rs.15/-.

I have heard that the TISS Library has a text reading machine? What is a text reading machine?

Yes, the TISS Library has a text-reading machine called Galileo — the state-of-the-art computer reading facility for visually disabled students. This extraordinary machine stores all sorts of printed documents including books, magazines, letters, and newspapers. The machine converts text matter into an audio file, which can then be used by the visually disabled.

What are the courses offered at TISS?

The TISS offers graduate, post-graduate, M.Phil., Ph.D., Certificate and Diploma programmes of study. Please look under ‘Programmes of Study’ on the TISS Homepage.

Whom do I contact for doubts regarding admissions?

Do Reservations apply for admissions into TISS?
