Important Instructions to all the Candidates

All the qualified candidates for GD (wherever applicable) and PI are requested to note the following:

(a) Change of dates: Request for change in dates for GD and PI are normally not entertained provided the GD/PI dates in TISS clash with the students' final year examination. No change will be considered for any other reasons. In such case the students should send the details of heir university examination along with a request letter addressed to pgadmissions@tiss.edu . However, the revised dates will be within the announced dates for GD & PI. The revised dates will be communicated to the candidate through e-mail or by post. Only one change may entertained .

(b) A call letter will be sent to all the candidates who have qualified in the written test with details shortly. However, the candidate can check the specimen copy of call letter put up in the website for information only.

(c) All the candidates will be sent a Detailed Application Form (DAF) for their respective programme along with the call letter. However, they are required to fill in the details and send it to Academic Section, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar , Mumbai 400 088, superscribing on the envelope “DAF for------- programme through SPEED POST or REGISTERED POST only. You are also requested to keep a second copy of the DAF for your reference.

(d) The Detailed Application Form (DAF) will be available on the Institute website for downloading from 13 th March 2008 onwards.

(e) If a candidate has qualified in the written test for more than one programme , s/he needs to fill up the Detailed Application Forms sent along with call letter or download them for each programme and send them separately to the Institute .

(f) Those students who are in need of Hostel accommodation (not for GD/PI purpose) may also fill up or download the Admission to Hostel form from our website, and send it along with DAF for consideration. No guarantee or assurance is given with regard to hostel accommodation. It will be given subject to availability of hostel rooms.

(g) Reimbursement of TA for SC/ST candidates will be given by the SC/ST Cell of the Institute on production of original journey tickets. The form for reimbursement will be given to the candidate on the day of GD/PI.

(h) Hostel accommodation during the GD/PI: Hostel accommodations will not be available for any candidate, other than SC/ST and PWD candidates.
