| The Tata Institute of Social Sciences invites applications for one post of Internal Auditor ( OPEN) on consolidated salary of Rs .50,000/- per month on tenure of five years. Essential Qualification/Experience : A Master's Degree or qualifications recognized as equivalent thereto in the faculty of Commerce/Management/Finance from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B' in the UGC seven point scale, OR Chartered Accountant along with 5 years' of experience in educational administration, OR comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, OR 5 years' of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post, in the areas of Finance and Accounts. SAS examination pass will be an added qualification. Desirable : Should have a strong background in finance and possess substantial general management experience at a middle management level and should be highly proficient in computerized accounting and financial management systems. Should also have proven expertise in working and leading the teams. Should posses sound knowledge of audit practices. GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Institute reserves the right to: (a) relax any of the requirements with reference to age and experience in exceptional cases and/or in the case of persons already holding comparable positions, on a regular basis, in a University/research institution of repute, b) invite persons for interview who may not have applied for as per the above procedure, (c) not to fill up of the vacancy advertised; (i) Since applications received may be short listed, merely possessing the prescribed qualifications and the requisite experience would not entitle a person to be called for an interview; (ii) No queries or correspondence regarding issue of call letters for interview/selection of candidates for the post will be entertained at any stage and canvassing will lead to the candidate being debarred from consideration for the post; (iii) Reservation and relaxation in age and work experience for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates are applicable as per Government of India rules; (iv) Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed IIIrd A.C.Class Rail fare, to and fro, by the shortest route, on production of railway tickets.
