Tata Institute of Social Sciences Students' Union

Every student of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences is a member of the Students' Union. The Union organises a varied programme of activities including lectures, debates, sports and social events. Members of the Union are represented on the Students Aid Committee and the Dining Hall Committee, along with the faculty of TISS. The Object of the Union as stated in the Constitution of the Students' Union

• To foster a spirit of Unity and Fellow feeling among the students of the Institute
• To take measures for the general welfare of the students
• To promote physical, social and cultural programmes and activities for the benefit of the members of the Union.
• To negotiate with the Institute for the larger interest of student activities in the Institute
• To coordinate between students and the Institute on all student related matters

Membership: Every regular student of the institute shall be a member of the union and shall pay a membership fee of Rs.200 per year.
