POST-GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN
SOCIAL WELFARE ADMINISTRATION
The Post-Graduate Certificate in Social Welfare Administration is offered by the School of Social Work . This certificate programme is meant for those who do not have social work training, but hold administrative positions in social welfare/development organisations.
This certificate programme is a one semester, full-time professional course and is conducted in the Mumbai Campus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
Candidates will be required to take required to take 6 courses — 4 foundation and 2 optional courses.
Foundation CoursesCandidates will be assigned to a specific organisation/institution and will work under the guidance of a field instructor, usually a faculty member of TISS. Field work tasks include study of different aspects of social welfare administration and emerging problems of social welfare.
A Bachelor’s Degree in any faculty from a recognised University with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of social welfare/ development programmes.
