Incoming Faculty/ Staff Exchange Programmes

  • The incoming faculty/ staff exchange programmes as part of the exchange mobility or otherwise are managed and facilitated by IRO.
  • The host universities can communicate the details of the incoming faculty/ staff to IRO.
  • IRO will connect the incoming faculty to the Dean/ Chairperson of the concerned school. The Dean/ Chairperson in consultation with the faculty members plan the academic and non-academic programmes for the respective faculty member.
  • The TISS faculty contact will plan the academic program and will be responsible for providing the programme schedule along-with the details of the planned lecture/ sessions or any academic engagement at TISS.
  • Faculty Exchange Programme comprises of lectures, workshop/seminars, joint research, conferences and/or field visits.
  • Faculty exchange programmes can also comprise of hosting international faculty members for establishing new partnerships/ initiating academic collaborations.
  • IRO will make arrangements for the logistics and organize for accommodation, airport pickup/ drop/ vehicle arrangements for field visits for visiting faculty members and also provide visa letter/ invitation letters to incoming faculty members.
  • All the faculty members at TISS are requested to contact IRO before extending invitation to any international faculty member/ staff for teaching/ workshop/ seminar etc.
  • IRO is required to submit the visit details of all the international visitors to Police/ ATS/ UGC etc on a regular basis.
  • All the expenses related to travel, food, stay etc. will be borne by the visiting faculty unless otherwise specified.
  • IRO will only bear cost for welcome lunch and airport pick and drop arranged from the institute for active exchange partners. The institute faculty members are requested to plan their programmes/ extend invitations to international guests accordingly.
