3rd International Graduate Seminar: Fostering Change: Public Policies Impacting State, Markets and Society

The School of Public Policy and Governance hosted the 3rd International Graduate Seminar from 16-18 March, 2017. The seminar was supported by the Indian Council for Social Science Research. Nearly 70 papers presented in the Seminar, encompassing multifarious themes at the intersection of various disciplines. The participants in this edition of the conference travelled from India and beyond. We hope that you recognize our efforts at being inclusive on a variety of different registers.

The Conference had six had six well-attended Plenary sessions. An added feature of this edition of the conference was a photo-essay on the rural distress experienced by agrarian communities in Yavatmal district of Vidarbha region.

Hyderabadi Biryani and the ‘light and sound’ show at Golconda Fort hopefully provided the necessary stimulus for a vibrant seminar atmosphere.
