Office of Students' Affairs (OSA)

The Office of Students’ Affairs (OSA) works as a link between students and administration in the campus and coordinates all student support activities. The main purpose of the OSA is to ensure the security, rights and entitlements of each member of the student community without compromising on the institutional goals, academic environment and discipline. It works in close coordination with OSA in Mumbai campus. The OSA works closely with the Chairpersons of the Schools, Convenor of SC, ST and Equal Opportunity Cell, and Counseling Centre and Medical Service Provider to address different student issues in the campus

The regular activities of OSA are as follows.

  • The office works towards upholding the zero-tolerance policy adopted by the Institute towards ragging and discrimination on the basis of caste, region, religion, sexuality, language, nationality, etc.
  • The OSA conducts an orientation session for the new students with an aim to make students familiar with all the campus facilities, rules and processes. The office facilitates and oversees Student Council Election process, and works with the Students' Council on various issues concerning the students during the period of their study.
  • In collaboration with OSA in Mumbai campus, it works towards mobilizing and disbursing financial aid to students from economically weaker background.
  • The office attempts to enthuse student to conduct and participate in literary, cultural and sports events in active coordination with the Student Council. Support is rendered to students in organizing QuinTISSence and various other cultural/literary events and panel discussions and seminars.
  • The office facilitates health insurance and related issues for students.
  • The office oversees the student support facilities in coordination with Facilitation and Support Cell and works as a first point of contact for any student grievance, if any.
  • The office facilitates and coordinates all student activities in the campus and provides single window support to students for permissions to organize student activity with the help of administration.
