International Collaboration/ Partnership

• Collaborations with partner and non-partner Universities at TISS will solely be done through the International Relations Office (IRO) in consultation and coordination with faculty members and secretariats located in different Schools/ Centre / Campuses of the Institute.
• Any personal mail to faculty members for institutional affiliation has to be brought to the notice of IRO. All such communications should be also forwarded to iso@tiss.edu.
• In case of any delegation visiting TISS, the collaboration with partner and non-partner universities should be discussed in the presence of representatives from IRO or IRO has to be suitably be informed.
• The MoUs for new partnerships or the renewal of the older ones will be facilitated through IRO and forwarded to the Director's/Registrar's Office.
• As a first step of developing of a collaboration, TISS signs generic MoU for institutional affiliation which favors TISS students and faculty members. IRO supports agreement that does not have legal implications on TISS/any Faculty/Staff for hosting a student/faculty from any partner university. 
• The financial aspects of any exchange programmes will be planned in consultation with IRO and the concerned faculty from any partner university.
• The expenses towards the hospitality ( Food, accommodation, internal/international travel) should be borne by the respective guest(s) and no requests for managing these costs or discount on the rates will be entertained.
• IRO will organize welcome lunch/snacks for the incoming guests from IRO funds – if the programme is channeled through IRO.
