Scaling Reflective Teaching with ICT (RTICT)
CEIAR, TISS's teacher professional development programmes at Integrated approach to Technology in Education (ITE) and Reflective Teaching with ICT (RTICT/CLIx) have been selected as one of the top 10 finalists (amongst 198 international applicants) of teacher effectiveness initiatives by UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Effectiveness 2020.
Programmes for Continuous Teacher Professional Development for and using ICT as exemplified in the Integrating Technology in Education (ITE) and Reflective Teaching with ICT (RTICT/CLIx) demonstrate how core pedagogical principles of making learning authentic, interactive and practice based can be scaled to reach teachers—motivating them to develop new perspectives and capacities and take ideas into their teaching.
Using Open Education Resources, developing peer-group networks, and providing certification, these programmes prepare teachers to be critical, adaptive, discriminating and resourceful practitioners, using ICT for their own development and to improve quality of education for students.
Teachers who have been a part of RTICT have demonstrated their leadership in the Covid-19 period using and activity-based methods and ICT to continue to support their students to learn.
We are proud of this recognition of the quality and relevance of our work and gratefully acknowledge the support of the TATA Trusts in seeding these initiatives.
