For the third semester Block Fieldwork, our social work students (Batch 2016-18) specialising in Livelihoods and Social Entrepreneurship were placed in Sindhudurg district as part of the Chanda Te Banda Project of the Government of Maharashtra.They facilitated participatory planning, inclusive value chain analysis and developed suitable business plans towards enhancing the livelihoods of poor and marginalised communities in the selected villages. Business plans were developed for diverse products and services such as Finger Millets, Cashew, Surangi (Mammea Suriga), Kokam (Garcinia Indica), Bamboo, Blankets, Bangda (Mackerel), Agro-Ecotourism etc.
