Ms. Basu has completed MPhil in Clinical Psychology from University of Calcutta and M.A from the same university with specialisation in Clinical Psychology. She has also been awarded' Sougata Basu Memorial Scholarship' by the University of Calcutta for ranking First in clinical psychology. Ms Basu is a RCI licensed clinical psychologist practicing in India for the last 3 years with the clinical expertise in the area of Third wave therapy and Neuropsychology.

Ms Basu has published a research titled ' Unveiling Stigma: Exploring mental health literacy at the Time of Covid 19 Pandemic' with Routledge India by Taylor and Francis in 2022

She has also published with International journal of Clinical Psychology a paper titled ' Presence of Different levels of Empathy and Sympathy in socioeconomic groups' in 2023

Ms Basu has worked as an Assistant Professor of Applied clinical and Counselling Psychology At School of Human Ecology (SHE) TISS MUMBAI.
She was also associated with Amity University Kolkata as a core Faculty Member, Assistant professor of Mphil in Clinical Psychology for 1 year.
