Dr. Ravinder Dhiman works as an Assistant Professor at Jamsetji Tata School of Disaster Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, India. He was awarded Ph.D. in Urban Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). He is the recipient of the prestigious award of IIT Bombay, 'Excellence in Ph.D. Research Award' for years 2018-2020 for his exemplary research work. He has also worked as a senior researcher at CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, India. His research interests are: Science-policy instruments for sustainable development; Coastal management; Integrated geo-spatial solutions; Urban planning. Dr. Dhiman has published research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He also has consultancy project experience in the area of applications of spatial science for watershed management, shoreline change analysis, and coastal processes along the Indian coast.
